Hundreds of people have protested the plan by councilors to site a fourth park-and-ride in Bath.
Bath and North East Somerset Council (Banes) selected “Site B” on the west side of Mill at Bathampton Meadows to construct the site, which is subject to planning and has spaces for 800 vehicles.
The council said it would need to make adequate arrangements to purchase the site and reach an agreement on access from Highways England.
Banes added that there had been an established need to build a new park-and-ride on the eastern end of the city.
But protesters are kicking against the plan, labeling it a “tragic decision.”
When completed, the park-and-ride site will be Bath’s fourth park, following the construction of other facilities in Odd Down, Newbridge, and Lansdown.
